Address: Main Street, Terowie

Wander down Terowie’s historic Main Street and discover a treasure trove of heritage in the form of five unique museums, all set among buildings dating back to the 1870s. At the heart of it is the Terowie Pioneer Gallery, housed in the original ES&A Bank, built in 1884 when the town was thriving with agriculture and railways. Inside, you’ll find a rich collection of local family photographs and histories that bring Terowie’s past to life.

The Gallery is joined by four other heritage-listed sites in the Main main street: the Simpson Museum, Blacksmith Museum, Women’s Work Museum, and the Down Main Street Museum, all lovingly cared for by the Terowie Citizens Association. Together, they offer visitors an unforgettable journey into the golden years of this remarkable railway town.

Ask at the Terowie Visitor Centre or the Terowie Post Office for access to the museums.

A gold coin donation is appreciated.
