Camping at Red Banks Conservation Park

Immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of Red Banks Conservation Park by staying overnight among its striking landscapes. Here, meandering earth gorges, spring‑fed waterholes, and stands of old growth mallee trees create a peaceful, nature‑rich camping experience.

There are 10 unpowered sites that offer space for vehicle‑based camping, including large caravans and motorhomes. Each site provides a sense of seclusion, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the sights and sounds of the park. Pit toilets are located nearby.

This is an ideal base for birdwatching, with a variety of species active from dawn to dusk. Wildlife lovers can often spot kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, and a rich diversity of birdlife. As the afternoon sun sets, the deep‑red cliffs of Baldina Creek glow brilliantly, a photographer’s dream.

Staying overnight at Red Banks lets you truly connect with the land –  whether you’re watching wildlife gather at a waterhole, enjoying the stillness of the mallee at night, or waking to the calls of early‑morning birdsong.
