Lavender Federation Trail
The Lavender Federation Walking Trail is a spectacular long-distance trail winding its way along the eastern slopes of the Mount Lofty Ranges. Beginning in Murray Bridge and finishing in Clare, the trail takes walkers through the Barossa, Goyder, Mid North and Clare Valley regions, showcasing ever-changing landscapes and classic South Australian countryside.
Its 325-kilometre route weaves through townships including Murray Bridge, Tungkillo, Dutton, Eudunda, Waterloo, Manoora, Mintaro, Watervale and Clare, offering both gentle day walks and longer multi-day adventures. In the Goyder Region, walkers can enjoy scenic loop trails at Point Pass and Waterloo, as well as a spur trail from Robertstown.
The trail also connects with several major routes, including the Kidman, Mawson, Heysen, and Riesling Trails, creating a rich network ideal for hikers who love exploring on foot. Entirely designed, built and maintained by volunteers, the Lavender Federation Trail is a true testament to community spirit.
