Step into the story of one of South Australia’s grand pastoral estates with The Grand House and Gardens Built on Wool, a guided experience at historic Anlaby Station near Hamilton in the Barossa region.
Beginning with the fleece, this immersive tour follows the journey of wool and how it shaped the homestead, gardens, and daily life on the property. As you move through the elegant principal rooms, working areas, and heritage-listed gardens, you’ll uncover the stories of the owners, staff, and routines that brought Anlaby to life.
This three-hour guided experience includes a behind-the-scenes look at the homestead, from the butler’s pantry and kitchen to the surrounding gardens, along with a traditional Devonshire tea to complete your visit.
