Redruth Studio’s “Noël and Gertie, Down and Dirty”
Hosted by Redruth Studio in a beautifully restored 150-year-old church, this private house concert is part of South Australia’s 2025 Feast Festival. The show celebrates the legendary friendship of playwright Noël Coward and actress Gertrude Lawrence—two queer icons of the early 20th century—with 22 musical gems from the likes of Coward, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Jerome Kern.
🌟 Cast Highlights
- Mariette Rups-Donnelly – original Val in A Chorus Line, and the only woman to perform Evita eight shows a week.
- Deborah Caddy – known for her roles in Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, and The Sound of Music.
- Mark Oates – a South Australian favourite, recently acclaimed in Watershed: The Death of Dr Duncan.
- Jonathan Mill – veteran of Australian theatre and cabaret creator.
- Carol Young – musical director with credits including Sweeney Todd and End of the Rainbow.
