Burra Rhapsody

Celebrate the sounds and stories of Burra at the final concert and recording of Burra Rhapsody.

Throughout 2026, the project has explored the many sounds that make Burra unique. Teacups, piano keys, children singing, birds, wind and local cafés have all provided inspiration.

These sounds have been transformed into a unique musical soundscape created in, by and for Burra. The performance also features instruments from the Men’s Shed and songs from Burra musicians.

Emlyn O’Regan will perform as Johnny Green, alongside visiting musicians from Adelaide Baroque. The project is led by Burra’s own composer, Jodie O’Regan.

This special concert will also be recorded live. Audience members who prefer not to be recorded can speak with front-of-house staff.
