Burra Regional Art Gallery – September Exhibitions

Two new exhibitions are now showing at the Burra Regional Art Gallery, bringing very different perspectives on landscape, water and our connection to place.

In the Main Gallery, Water Garden by John Lean explores the timeless beauty of water through large-scale impressionist paintings. The exhibition celebrates water’s colour, movement and atmosphere while creating a space for peace and reflection.

In the Bence Room, Nicholas Olsen presents works inspired by the built environment and the places around us. The Brisbane-based painter uses light, tone and colour to explore how our surroundings reflect culture and history.

Both exhibitions are showing from 3rd September to 18th October 2026.

Visitors are welcome to drop into the gallery during opening hours and experience both exhibitions while exploring Burra’s historic town centre.
