Burra Town Hall

The Burra Town Hall is one of Australia’s most impressive historic small-town halls and a proud symbol of Burra’s rich mining heritage. Built for the Welsh and Cornish miners who helped shape the region, this beautiful heritage building continues to be cared for by a passionate team of local volunteers.

Inside, visitors can explore fascinating historical displays showcasing Burra’s past. Step back in time by dressing up in period costumes and taking photos on the stage, view vintage film projectors, and discover the Mayor’s Room and historic records room, where stories of the town and surrounding Mid North region come to life.

The Burra Town Hall also remains a vibrant community venue and is available for hire as a performance, event, or meeting space, making it a unique setting for gatherings in the heart of Burra.
